St. Mary, March 13, 2026 &ndash; A minister of religion is among three people charged in connection with a robbery along the Golden Valley main road in Castleton, St. Mary, which occurred on Saturday, March 7.
The accused are 34-year-old Alphonso Hinds, a minister of religion from Olympic Way, Kingston 11; 27-year-old Jermaine Small, also known as &ldquo;Natty&rdquo;; and 70-year-old Dudley Williams, also called &ldquo;Dudus,&rdquo; both of Old Golden Spring Road, Kingston 9.
Hinds faces charges of Conspiracy to Robbery, Robbery with Aggravation, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony. Small has been charged with Receiving Stolen Property, while Williams faces Larceny by Finding.
According to reports from the Annotto Bay Police, around 5:30 a.m., three individuals were travelling in a white Toyota Axio along Golden Valley Road when the vehicle developed mechanical issues and came to a stop. While the driver checked the engine, a lone gunman approached, brandished a firearm, and robbed the group of a white iPhone 16, cash totaling $1,050,000, personal documents, and a Samsung Note Ultra cellular phone before fleeing on foot.
Initial reports suggested Hinds was a complainant, but further investigation revealed that he allegedly orchestrated the robbery. Later the same day, a joint operation by the St. Mary Operational Support Team (OST) and St. Andrew North OST along Golden Spring Road in Stony Hill, St. Andrew, led to the arrest of Small and Williams, who were found in possession of the stolen items.
All three were charged following question-and-answer sessions conducted in the presence of their attorneys. Court dates are currently being finalised.
