Jamaica recorded a major increase in stopover arrivals over the Easter holiday weekend despite the heightened COVID-19 measures.
This according to Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett who says the increased arrivals are an indication of a rebounding of the tourism sector.
Year to date, the Minister says Jamaica has welcomed some 209, 930 passengers, of which over 164, 000 were tourists.
The Minister also outlined plans to reopen the country’s cruise tourism.
