Cokes’ charges suspended- Imprisoned reputed gangster, Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke’s two brothers Andrew and Lanchester Coke, his son Michael along with David Biggs, Delmarco Cephas and Wayne Page were all handcuffed together entering the chief justice court.
Following closely behind them was a slender well groomed female Iesha Jones, also handcuffed.
All the co-accused appeared calm and contented as they awaited their verdict.
Upon hearing their charges were suspended they appeared unmoved, but occasionally exchanged glances between each other.
Outside the court was a dramatic contrast as their friends and relatives anxiously awaited the verdict.
Andrew “Livity” Coke was one of the names that was on the lips of most onlookers.
Cars honking profusely to show their joy along with a few bikers who continuously revved their engines further riling up the crowd.
The police spent close to two hours making sure the crowd remained orderly and on the opposite side of the street.
However, despite the police’s extensive effort to distract the crowd as to where the co-accused may leave the Supreme Court, supporters stood at a vantage point to ensure they saw their exit.
One West Kingston community had yet another atmosphere.
Justice Leighton Pusey says the case can however be called back to the courts if conditions change including the witnesses reappearing.
