The Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) says the Jamaica’s inflation rate has increased for the month of June 2021.
The increase was occasioned by a hike in gas prices, the cost of vegetables and other foods.
STATIN says for the month of June inflation rose, though marginally it’s expected that the impact has been felt in many households.
Meats and other parts of slaughtered animals increased by 1.9 percent.
Meanwhile, point to point inflation rate between June 2020 and June 2021 was 4.3 percent.
