One St. Ann resident has reached his breaking point with the Jamaica Public Service (JPS). He says he has been filing complaints to the light and power company since October of 2019. He is appealing for immediate action to be taken on the defective pole in his yard

Layton Nugent a resident of Pineapple Lane in St. Ann, tells CVM Live that for nearly two years he had brought to the Jamaica Public Service’s attention a defective pole in his yard. Mr. Nugent says to date the light and power company has not responded and notes there are grave concerns as the hurricane season has already commenced.

He says he called on Friday and was told in order to have the pole removed he would need an attorney. Mr. Nugent also adds that the JPS customer service system only breeds frustration, especially knowing the dangers lurking with the existence of the utility pole.
