Despite the island-wide lockdown, scores of parents turned out with their children at designated blitz sites for the second day of inoculation against COVID-19 with the Pfizer vaccine. 

Data obtained from the ministry of health and wellness suggests that over 20-thousand Jamaicans have been inoculated with the Pfizer vaccine over the course of two days.

A challenge-free day at the Aabuthnott Gallimore high school in Alexandria St. Ann as both parents and children waited patiently for their jabs.

Some parents expressed their views on the vaccination of their children, saying that it may be the only way for them to return to the physical classroom.

Public health nurse for the Alexandria Health District Sherita Campbell, says the nurses were kept busy with a steady stream of people, mostly children.

Parish administrator for St. Ann health services Taniesha Dawson notes that the location of the site made it easier for people to access.
