Reputed gangster, Christopher ‘Dog Paw’ Linton was laid to rest on Friday, December 31, 2021, at the dovecot memorial park in St. Catherine, but not before one final uproar.
Linton was allegedly shot during a confrontation with the police in October in Elletson Flats, St. Andrew, a distance away from his home in Tavern.
Heavy police and military presence surrounded the proceedings held at the dovecot memorial park in Spanish Town St. Catherine. Relatives wept openly during the service for the man they described as a loving and caring protector. One after the other paid tribute to Linton.
Before the preaching could even begin, a dramatic entrance by the police, warning mourners time was winding down.

In 2013 Linton was sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges of shooting with intent and illegal possession of a firearm, he was however freed in April of this year after his conviction was quashed in the court of appeal.
In June, Linton was hospitalized after being shot by gunmen in Bull Bay, St. Andrew.
Linton met his demise on October 11, 2021.
