Chairman of the race course primary and infant school Keith Bryan says this is the second such incident in three weeks, but fortunately for the first incident it was just a burn out and no lives lost. Councillor for the race course division Pauline Reynolds says she knows the family for a very long time, lauding the father for his hard work and dedication to his children. Meanwhile, district officer in charge of fire prevention Ryan Davis says the cause of the fire is being investigated, while warning residents to be mindful of lighting fire in the windy and dry season.
