Teachers and students are growing anxious as they prepare for the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) approximately one month away. The examinations are to be held in May and June as per usual, despite requests for a delay.
President of the Jamaica Association of Principals of Secondary Schools (JAPSS), Linvern Wright says first-time sixth-form students will be most affected having started school in late October. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, calls have intensified for Jamaica to expel CXC examinations, and seek another way for students to matriculate to the tertiary level.
