Residents in a section of East Kingston are plagued with the unbearable stench of dead animals and garbage emanating from a nearby gully. Added to that when it rains the gully overflows. They say this has been their fate for years now and are demanding urgent action from their political representative.
One resident who spoke off camera told our news team the gully is always blocked when it rains a major issue happening perennially. Another resident says children’s health is also at risk, admitting that some residents practice improper garbage disposal. The residents say the NSWMA collects the rubbish frequently. They are calling on members of Parliament for East Kingston Phillip Paulwell to intervene. Calls made to the Member of Parliament for a response proved futile. Watch the full report:
