The full resumption of face-to-face learning commenced on Monday. In recent weeks teacher migration as well as the availability of resources have been of major concern for many stakeholders in the education sector.
Parents of grades seven and eight students were out in their numbers at the Vauxhall High School in Kingston. Principal Prudence Brown-Pinnock, tells our news team the day was off to a great start.
While many schools converted to online learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Mrs. Brown-Pinnock says her institution will not entirely abandon this mode of learning. In the meantime, as teacher migration remains a concern, she notes her school has made the necessary adjustments.
At the Camperdown High School, their doors were not open for students, however, according to Principal Valentine Bailey, this week is geared towards seminars for teachers. He says all capacities regarding teachers are filled. Meanwhile Principal of Jessie Ripoll Primary O’Neil Stevens says his school saw a smooth operation as a majority of cohorts were present.
