During a tour of Olympic Gardens in St. Andrew, Prime Minister Andrew Holness condemned the acts of violence that have been plaguing the community, after a gang related incident in which six (6) people were killed.
As residents fear the possibility of retaliation, Prime Minister Holness says the police have assured him that an in-depth investigation will be conducted into the matter.
To cement their promises of reassurance, Prime Minister Holness says plans are in place to put cameras in the community.
Holness, who is also the area’s Member of Parliament, says he will not allow such heinous crimes to be committed without the perpetrators facing the consequence.
He adds while the residents are afraid, they are vehemently against the violence. He is appealing to them to come forward with any information they might have.
