Police in Clarendon were kept busy Saturday night after gunmen killed three people and injured others in two separate incidents. A popular social media blogger was among the victims. Superintendent of Police, and Commanding Officer for the Clarendon Division Carlos Russel, says the incident took place at a party in southern Clarendon.
Hours prior, Russel says a double murder along the Cottage main road, involving a taxi operator, and an unsuspecting passenger was also reported. The Officer says, the police are aware of party scenes being hot spots for murders in the parish He is urging party promoters to apply for official permits, so the police can offer protection for the venue.
The newly instated division commander says the police are focused on working with the residents to reduce instances of crime in the parish. Watch the full reports:
