Members of the Morant Bay Development Area Committee, (DAC) are being lauded for their donations to residents at the St. Thomas Infirmary. The Infirmary’s staff say the gifts were appreciated, adding the residents have not been treated in a while.
DAC President, Earlene Thomas says the items were donated after a ‘need assessment was conducted to determine what would be most beneficial for the residents. She says the matron and CEO of the municipality also accommodated them and assisted with handing over the gifts.
Thomas says she was overjoyed to be part of the initiative, adding she hopes the residents feel valued and cared for. Meanwhile, Acting Matron for the St. Thomas Infirmary Antoinette Forrester is expressing gratitude for the donation, reiterating the resident’s need for such support.
