President of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) Keith Duncan is calling for stronger security measures to remove criminals, he considers ‘terrorists’, from the nation’s streets. He commends the Police Commissioner and the Minister of National Security for what he says is them doing their best with the resources they have.
Expressing a desire to see Jamaica thrive, PSOJ’s President Keith Duncan is calling for enhanced security measures to combat the prevalence of violence in Jamaica. Delivering the keynote address at the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association’s (JHTA) 60th Anniversary Gala Dinner, Duncan also highlighted the need for security forces to be adequately equipped to fight crime. He adds, Jamaica has suffered from a low-consequence environment where lawbreakers commit major crimes and return to do the same, after serving short sentences.
Duncan also championed the call for adjustments to be made to the legislation. Watch the full report:
