“Reignite the village” is the theme of this year’s National Parent Month. The theme is in alignment with the spirit of Jamaica 60 through a call to action for all parents to take active responsibility for their immediate village.
Christopher Williams Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Proven Investments Limited was the keynote speaker at the Ministry of Education’s 2022 launch of Parent Month. Williams in his address highlighted the importance of the nation as a whole placing greater emphasis on education. He notes the basis of a child acquiring a sold education stems from the home and urges parents to tap into the village mentality, a tradition that has always existed in Jamaica. CEO of the National Parenting Commission Kaysia Kerr is also reiterating the importance of the home-school relationship. Watch the report:
