In a historic bid to aid in curtailing social ills in our society, the UWI Mona Guild will be undertaking a legacy project to install sanitary napkin dispensers in female bathrooms across the campus so female students will have access to pads/tampons free of cost. This project is the end result of their year semester-long period poverty social marketing campaign which was geared towards educating the student populous about the issue as well as undertaking qualitative and quantitative research to see how best we could aid in addressing period poverty. Vice President of Services and Special Projects- UWI Mona Guild of Students, Jhevonte Webster shares more about the project on Sunrise.
