‘Scammed’, the movie features a diverse cast of Canadian-Jamaican actors highlighting a real-life story and has generated much buzz in the greater Toronto entertainment industry. The story is set in Calgary, Alberta. Tracey, a Jamaican student new to Canada with all her life savings set to start school in the summer, falls prey to a Canadian Revenue Scam and loses all her money. After spending days and weeks talking to the police with the hopes of getting her money back, she falls into depression and attempts suicide, and when that doesn’t work, she tries one phone call that takes her in a new direction.
