Today is World WiFi Day and as we come together to recognize the importance of internet access in our increasingly digital world, it is important to address the issue of digital poverty. This day serves as a reminder that while many of us enjoy the benefits of seamless connectivity, there are still millions of people around the globe who lack access to reliable and affordable internet services. With this in mind United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched digital connectivity programme to rolled out Wi-Fi access to 17 locations across 10 parishes across Jamaica. Stacy-Ann Tomlinson-Knox and Acting Director of Projects at Universal Service Fund, Jaime Robinson, stopped by Sunrise to discuss the UNDP’s initiative aimed at accelerating digital inclusion.
