The creation of the They Are Us Foundation was inspired by the founders’ personal journey caring for their child who was diagnosed with cancer. In March 2017, their son Camron was diagnosed with Leukemia, specifically Acute Myeloid Leukemia, prompting his immediate hospitalization. Motivated by their own experience, they have extended their support to others facing various diseases. A notable upcoming initiative is a blood drive scheduled for September 16, 2023, reflecting their ongoing commitment to helping those in need. Assistant Blood Donor Organizer, The National Blood Transfusion Service, Keishawna Pinnock and, Co-Founder, They Are Us Foundation, Terriann East-Oldham shares the details on Sunrise.
