Having suffered from over $430 million a day in losses as a result of the closure of tourism Jamaica is officially set to reopen its borders to international tourists on June 15, the North Coast has been designated as a resilient corridor, from which visitors will not be allowed to stray.
And Jamaica’s strategy to safely reopen the travel and tourism industry has been praised as the most robust plan in the world; however concerns still exist around the ability of the sector to cope as well as the legality of aspects of the plan.
