Recommendations of whether the age of consent should be amended were put to the test once again during a review of the child care and protection act by the joint select committee, but with a minor twist…the age of consent for males should remain at 16, however for females 18 years old.
The suggestions, though shut down in the Joint Select Committee (JSC) were debated in the Senate on Friday.
