Despite the tropical storm, Gonzalo drying up, the Kingston and St. Municipal Corporation (KSAC) says its hurricane watch preparation has not died down.
A new system was formed. The National Hurricane Centre (NHC ) says there is a 70% chance that it will form into a tropical storm by Tuesday.
Mayor of Kingston & St. Andrew Delroy Williams says that although tropical storm Gonzalo has died down he will be restocking on emergency supplies and that teams will be touring some of the shelters within the municipality to ensure that they are safe and secure for the hurricane period.
The 2020 Atlantic hurricane season started on June 1.
