Some homeless people within the town of Annotto Bay St. Mary were blessed with warm Sunday dinners and care packages by a nail technician who also happens to be a warm-hearted philanthropist.

While some households spend Sundays preparing the traditional meal of rice and peas with fried chicken and vegetables, this is not the same for Nail Technician Kaydian James.

James spends her Sundays preparing meals not only for her family but extends the pot to the less fortunate in Annotto Bay St. Mary.

The philanthropist says she was convicted to give back to her community when she was leaving church one Sunday afternoon.

She recalls being begged by a homeless while she was eating and said after handing over her food she took the responsibility of providing the needy with Sunday meals each week and cake packages each season.

Though the pandemic and the lack of transportation is a challenge, this hiccup has not stopped the good-doers from shedding light within the parish.
