CVM LIVE joined a team from the Marine Police Division led by Superintendent Robert Walker and Inspector Deron White on another journey to the sea, on Thursday.
This time to examine a recent discovery they made in several miles of mangroves.
Inspector White, explains that the Marine Police along with the National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is investigating the cutting.
Meanwhile, the Marine Police say almost two hundred pounds of lobster and just over sixty pounds of conch were seized from fisherfolk in 2020.
As the year comes to an end, the Inspector says it is been a fairly good year for the Marine Police.
While at sea, we observed about three boats being signaled to stop and the fishermen aboard being asked to present their documents.
As we sailed pass the Lime and Maiden cays we observed two yachts, one by each cay, upon spotting the police boat they made off, the police, however, managed to catch up to them, issuing stern warnings.
