The first component of the Primary Exit Profile Examinations (PEP) for grade six is the ability test, which will now be administered on March 25.
This component was originally set for February 23.
The Education Ministry postponed the test, to allow students more preparation time.
The curriculum based test and the performance task components are still to be administered between April 22 and May 26.
The change follows concerns earlier this week by the Jamaica Teacher’s Association.
Opposition Spokesperson on Education, Dr. Angela Brown-Burke says the Government should pay attention to what teachers are saying.
