Residents Forming Illegal Dump -There have been calls to close a section of the White House main road in St. James as persons are using it as a dump.
The roadway which was the main thoroughfare before the construction of the highway is now being used by residents to dump dead animals, construction materials and other waste material.
Government Senator Charles Sinclair says the area is occupied and therefore needs to be closed and preserved.
He says it is unlikely that there will be any extensive construction or development in the area.
Community relations officer at the National Works Agency (NWA), Janelle Rickets says the NWA is currently evaluating the proposal to close the road
She says once a decision is taken, it will be made public.
