Relatives of a Westmoreland man who was shot and killed Thursday morning by members of the police force are demanding justice. They are also insisting that the deceased was not in any wrangling with the law and didn’t deserve to die in the way he did.
But according to the Westmoreland police, the deceased was a person of interest in a case of illegal possession of a firearm and assault at common-law in January this year.
They say the deceased met his demise after confronting police who were summoned to premises in relation to a domestic dispute, where the deceased allegedly pulled a gun and fired at them.
