The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) accorded details on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, concerning Constables Tevin Lake and Kenroy Chambers.
They both appeared, by summons, in the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court regarding the offence of assault occasioning bodily harm, following a ruling by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
Constables Lake and Chambers were charged in relation to the assault of a man in the vicinity of Regent Street, Kingston 14, on October 13, 2019. A video recording of the incident, which was widely circulated on social media, was used to support the allegations of this INDECOM investigation.
The matter was adjourned for continuation on March 2, 2021.
