On Thursday the homestead community was visited by members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and representatives from heart NSTA on a joint walk-through to engage skilled youths who are uncertified.
This initiative has been ongoing in recent weeks in a bid to divert the youth from crime. Superintendent of police for the St. Catherine North Division Howard Chambers says he’s pleased with this intervention and notes there is a need for skills training and development in the community.
And members of the Christian community were also present to provide spiritual support. Meanwhile, one resident applauds this venture and encourages the youth to take the opportunity.
