European Union’s Global Gateway Strategy Boosts Productivity in Jamaican SMEs Through Digital Transitioning Program – In a historic event that unfolded today in Kingston, the European Union unveiled a game-changing strategy known as “Global Gateway,” backed by a substantial €300 billion investment. This groundbreaking initiative, combined with the official launch of a Digital Transitioning Programme for Jamaica, is poised to significantly accelerate productivity in micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), thanks to improved digital access.

Helena Konig, Deputy General Secretary of Economic and Global Affairs at the European Union, emphasized the strategic importance of this occasion. She underscored the critical focus on key challenges that must be addressed over the next four years.
