A total of sixteen (16) Jamaicans have been awarded the 2022 Chevening Scholarships to pursue Master’s Degrees in the United Kingdom. The scholars were selected from an
exceptionally powerful shortlisted cohort of about 50, who were chosen from a wider candidate pool of more than 400. The programme which is aimed at developing global leaders offers a unique opportunity for future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers worldwide to develop professionally and academically experience United Kingdom culture, and build lasting positive relationships.

This year’s Chevening Scholarships awardees are Malike Kellier, Zachery Ramsay, Janoi Reid, Nastassia Robinson, Amanda Mckenzie, Matthew Ferguson, Colleen Dawkins, Mikhail Henry, Janneille Morgan, Richard Robinson, Rhynee Mckay Bennett, Damoy Douglas, Shenelle Stewart, Kristina Neil, Gabrielle Thompson-Jackson and Venice Irving. While in the United Kingdom, the pool of scholars will further their studies in a range of areas including Special and Inclusive Education, Law, Media and Communications, Security and Health Management.
This year’s batch of scholars will increase the Jamaican alumni to over 280 since 1984.
