CPFSA: World Adoption Day 2023

November 9th is World Adoption Day, an occasion to give a voice to the adoption community -adoptees, adoptive parents, siblings of adoptees, or those on the waiting list. While activities are being planned to draw awareness to adoption, the adoption community is being encouraged to share their stories to remove the stigma attached, so persons can feel more comfortable as they navigate their adoption journey.

Watch the Sunrise Interview with the Adoption Officer of the Child Protection and Family Services Agency, CPFSA, Corine Roberts, to learn more:

For more information on adoption, persons can contact the Adoption Unit at 922-1751 or e-mail adoption@childprotection.gov.jm. Application forms and guides can be downloaded from CPFSA’s website at www.childprotection.gov.jm.
