Dance Your Style Jamaica

As the reopening of the entertainment industry continues to build momentum, the various platforms and avenues through which we experience and celebrate our Jamaican culture are back in business! Dance is one of the many, and has always been a leading source of impact, identity and entertainment for us as Jamaicans. Red Bull Dance Your Style is a celebration of this part  of our culture and this year the competition has returned to Jamaica, with its first in-person national final since 2019 being hosted in Kingston on July 6th, 2022!

The one-on-one street dance competition features a unique battle format and has become a platform for street dancers of all styles – from hip hop to house, popping, locking and more – to showcase their skills in a myriad of genres. This year, Dancehall has also been officially added as a category in the competition. What makes this competition even more unique, is that competitors are judged solely by crowd-voting, the audience ultimately decides who rules the dancefloor.

This year’s 16 national finalists will go toe-to-toe for a chance to represent Jamaica, along with last year’s champion Flexx Cautiion, on the global stage at the 2022 Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final, in Johannesburg, South African in December 2022.
