We face different problems on a daily basis and so in this conversation, gospel recording artiste ‘Discyple George’ is encouraging the nation to stay strong and trust in God.
Discyple, born George St. Alistair Cousins, hails from Hayes in the parish of Clarendon. He attended the Bustamante High School in the same parish. Discyple started doing music in 2006 after getting saved in the Hayes New Testament Church Of God, being a member of the gospel duo Emblem. George encountered many challenges and backslide out of church for a while. During this time unfortunately Discyple was at the wrong place at the wrong time, where he was shot five times in a shooting incident in Clarendon in 2014. He attests to the fact that he was saved only by the grace of God and decided to rededicate his life to God. Discyple also recommitted himself to the work the Lord gave him to carry out as a musical minister.
His latest song “We Worship you” encapsulates this mission and his trust in God. Watch interview here:
George now as a single minister, decided to call himself Discyple because of God’s grace and mercies. He has accepted him as a follower and servant. Discyple restarted his musical ministry with a song entitled ‘God Save Me’, which is a ministry of the life he live and how the Lord saved him.
