Earth and the Fullness began by the sea in 2014. It’s been an organic journey strength to strength nurtured at Jamnesia, Jamaica’s home of surf, safe space for artists, and live music stalwart. Earth and the Fullness creates poetic roots music from the Soul, grounded in the principle that inner healing is just as important as the social healing the world needs. Authentically strong in reggae, listeners also feel jazz, blues, African, and rock influences emerge naturally throughout. Earth and the Fullness is a creative project led by Jamaican singer-songwriter Olivia Wilmot. Merging her lyrics and melodies with the talent and positive vibrations of skilled and conscious musicians, the resulting productions offer an experience of sweet regeneration to all who listen.
Working closely with Inilek Wilmot of Jamnesia and others, the music has been described as “gentle hardcore reggae” by legend, Sly Dunbar. Earth and the Fullness has performed at Jamnesia, the Jam, Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival, the Bob Marley Roots 77 broadcast, Reggae Month, Skyline Levels and other venues.
Earth and the Fullness first EP Yuya was released July 21, 2022 and celebrated with a powerful performance at the Jam at 22 Jerk in Kingston, followed by being the featured artist for an acoustic performance and interview on High Frequency Fridays hosted by Alaine on the Edge 105 FM. “The music of Earth and the Fullness is a sophisticated auditory tapestry with a brilliant spiritual thread running throughout. Fresh melodies and original progressions make each track a standout.”
