The Faces of Tivoli Gardens work hard every year to make a tangible social impact in their community. This year one of the themes of the programming is “Breaking Barriers through Women’s Empowerment.” Of the estimated 6,000 residents who live in Tivoli Gardens, roughly 60% are young people, with women outnumbering men at a 3:1 ratio. More often than not young girls descend into negative behaviours, due to the lack of role models and mentorship. The Faces of Tivoli Gardens initiative was designed to help combat these issues.
