The Child Protection and Family Services Agency, CPFSA will be observing its 16th Annual National Foster Care Week (Feb.13-19, 2022), themed ‘Fostering Love, Every Child Needs A Family’.
This observance is aimed at promoting our National Foster Care Programme for the over 4000 children in residential child care facilities to be fostered. Several activities will also be embarked on in commemoration of the week.
Additionally, there are current and former foster children who are excelling academically in CSEC, CAPE, tertiary studies and vocational skills training. As such, it is important to highlight their achievements and the role and invaluable contribution of our over 1000 foster parents, as to encourage more persons to become a part of the programme, and give a child in State care the gift of a loving family and home.
