When one thinks about detox what often comes to mind is images of juice cleanses, the master cleanse, water fast, or some other type of dietary regimen that promises to “flush toxins” out of your body or help you shuck off fat quickly.
However, most detox diets and juice fast claims are not accurate as the body does not need a special diet to detoxify itself because that is something it does naturally. Furthermore, some of those regimens can even be dangerous and any weight you lose will also probably come back unless you modify your lifestyle. Nevertheless, there are some natural ways to boost your body’s natural detox system such as eating anti-inflammatory foods, avoiding sugary, processed, and fried foods, reducing one’s alcohol consumption, and staying physically active.
