During the entire month of June 2023, the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) will be commemorating Disaster Preparedness Month and the commencement of the North Atlantic Hurricane Season. The overarching theme for this observance is “Prioritizing Disaster Management for an All Hazard Approach.” Throughout this period, the ODPEM aims to enhance the overall awareness among the Jamaican public regarding the importance of mitigating risks associated with hazards that frequently impact the country.
