International Optimist Day: “Optimism As Philosophy Of Life”

We welcome Patrice Hanson, Lieutenant Governor – Grand Cayman and Dave Wilson, Past Distinguished & Outstanding Governor of the Optimist International Caribbean District to talk International Optimist Day.

Thursday, February 3 is dubbed as International Optimist Day on and Zone one which will be in the Spotlight for the month. As part of the Caribbean District drive to we celebrate International Optimist Day under the Theme “Optimism as Philosophy of Life”. Optimist International is a service organization that calls its members to work together to bring out the best in children, our communities, and ourselves

Optimist Day is celebrated throughout the world annually on the first Thursday of February by members of Optimist International. This is an opportunity for clubs and members to celebrate all they do year round to promote efforts in bringing out the best in youth, our communities, and ourselves. 

The Caribbean District has 10 zones. Today, we are spotlighting the efforts and activities of zone 1. Zone 1 has 11 clubs in Jamaica and 1 in Grand Cayman. This month we have an exciting list of activities, projects, and training sessions for our Caribbean district and friends. This is an opportunity for clubs and members to celebrate all they do year round to promote efforts in bringing out the best in youth, our communities, and ourselves.
