What’s your favorite treat/pastry of all time? In this interview, we talk with Miguel Powell who hails Mandeville, Manchester Ja. W.I. Entrepreneur, founder of the brand “Mig Pic’s Gizzy Real Jamaican Brand” (authentic Jamaican Gizzadas and pastries). He is a private chef and Caterer of Mig Pic’s Kitchen, a business of which he is the founder and owner. Personal chef to two business owners including the CEO of the Pickapeppa group. Started his baking and culinary journey from high school while attending the prestigious Institution DeCarteret College in the cool hills of Mandeville, Manchester.
Before graduating, his first products were coconut drops, grater cakes, and the most popular and best Gizzadas which built his repertoire on the culinary journey, as a young entrepreneur.
“I guess this reason for the uniqueness and authenticity of this product is due its taste, texture and neatness and care Packaging which appeals to the eye of many from the beginning. With the help of my parents who are the backbone of my start-up and their financial support with some of my savings, also some encouraging advice from some close friends of mine and family members I progress in purchasing equipment that would help to garner my production in making it easier and efficient.”
