Jamaica’s high-speed karters are entering the fast lane as they are set to compete in the second Caribbean Junior Karting Academy Trophy in Barbados, from November 4-6. The programme which is funded by the Federation Internationale del’ Automobile (FIA) Sports Grant Programme will see seventeen qualified karters between ages 11 to 17 from Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago face off in the competition. The team consists of past and present champions.
Calem Maloney, 2019 Vice Champion in the Caribbean Junior Karting Academy Trophy along with Jamaica’s Zander Williams, who finished fifth in 2019, and Colin Bradshaw of Barbados are among three regional drivers returning to the competition. Host Trinidad and Tobago will have seven drivers in the lineup.
