“JamRats” was devised by the Story Drama class of 2022, and will be directed by Janet Muirhead-Stewart and Patrice Briggs. The production borrows the characters and themes from the well-known children’s story, ‘The Pied Piper of Hamlin’ to offer a playful, contemporary reinterpretation and retelling. This time it is a tale of two neighbouring cities, one of which becomes taken over by a community of rats, when its leader is seduced by greed. Given its plot, there are critical lessons about personal responsibility and environmental safety that are bound to appeal to young audiences. The Directors joined us on Sunrise to give us a sneak peek of the play.
