Themes of reality and conflict based on personal or societal difficulties are typically present in Joshua Paul’s stories that have a significant cultural and social influence. His love of filming allows him to bring attention to actual problems and hardships that people face. He recently received three awards at the recent GATFFEST (viewers’ choice award, the spirit of GATFFEST award and the Lennie Little White award for best local short) for his film ‘Sugarcake’ and received two nominations for the film ‘Key Love’ a film which was funded by GATFFEST and the Bob and Rita Marley Foundation in their annual pitch competition.
