Blessed with impressive writing skills, strong lyrical capability, positive work ethic and intelligence similar to that of an ant, you will find recording artiste Jahzi Lee. Lee is a talented reggae artiste whose versatility easily transcends into his music. His often unique delivery and flow has brought a refreshing taste to the reggae scene which has placed him among the top lyricists in the music industry.
Like legendary dancehall artiste Beenie Man, JahZi Lee hails from the volatile community of Waterhouse in Kingston, Jamaica, Jahzi Lee identified his passion for music at age 10 while performing in a competition at a kids treat that was held in his community which he won, and it was then he decided to pursuit the path of music. This early experience in performing, writing and free styling helped him to build his confidence and musical technique.
His musical influences include the likes of Bob Marley, Louie Culture, Dennis Brown, Luciano, Freddie McGregor, Buju banton, Vybz Kartel, I Wayne, Sizzla and lots more. Jahzi Lee writes all his music and draws inspiration from his personal experiences, his dreams/goals and looking forward to accomplishing and the need to help others physically and mentally.
The artiste is busy in the studio creating new records on a daily basis and has so far produced a slew of songs professionally. He is also working closely with Shane Villa Records which he is signed to, and has been doing work with Junior Reid/JR Productions, Live MB Music and Box Lunch Productions to capture the hearts of reggae and dancehall fans.
The artiste has so far released singles such as ‘Mek Me Live, Waiting On You, Man Real and most recently Rude Is Out Here. Earlier this year he was featured on BBC 1Xtra live performance from Jamaica with Seani B. He is also working on his debut EP which will be released under the Shane Villa Records imprint. Much of Jahzi Lee’s content has secured a strong fan base on social media. He is also looking forward to win over local and international fans while securing various awards both local and internationally.
Fully aware of and confident in his talent and with the drive and natural ability he possesses, Jahzi Lee is determined to make a name for himself and be a protagonist in reggae primed to be a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Now Jahzi Lee is currently promoting his debut EP produced by Shanevilla Records. The first single from the project called “Cyaa Tell Mi How Fi Live” is currently out on all digital platforms. Already the track is getting good response worldwide especially in Africa, Europe and Jamaica, The official visual will be released soon.
