Personal Care Chemistry with Kimone Knight

The Chemqualco team compromises of Chief Chemist and lead formulator Kimone Knight. Kimone has years of experience as a Chemist in the household, cosmetics and personal care industry formulating for some of Jamaica’s biggest manufacturing companies. Through her years of service, she developed a special passion for assisting individuals, micro and small business and has made it a mission to aid in the developmental of these individuals.  Kimone holds a degree in Pure and Applied Chemistry from UWI, Mona. 

Kimone has always had a passion for entrepreneurship, influenced by predominantly women entrepreneurs in her family, she ventured into entrepreneurship full time at the peak of the pandemic. Equipped with knowledge she gained from being admitted in the highly prestigious Jamaica Business Development Corporation – Accelerator program 2019 where she copped the prize for being most committed and later entering and placing third in JN’s kickstart business competition 2019. Her passion for her business further lead her to be 1 of 10 Jamaicans chosen out of 2000 applicants worldwide to be admitted into the US embassy Young leaders of Americas  Initiative 2021 where she was able to build a strong network and capitalize on business training. Always in the pursuit of knowledge, Kimone has recently been accepted in the Highly talked about Scotia Bank vision achievers 2022 program top 25. 

Though being very passionate about her business and career, her true motivation comes from being a mom to her 5-year-old daughter, Kiroya Campbell. Outside of being a chemist she enjoys cooking and creating from DIY projects.
