The ICWI/Jamaica Reach to Recovery Pink Run is scheduled for Sunday, October 30, 2022. The run will provide an opportunity for Jamaicans to actively join the fight against breast cancer. The Pink Run is an annual fundraising event that makes a significant contribution to the work of Jamaica Reach to Recovery’s breast cancer support arm. The funds raised from the five-kilometer run/walk provide lifesaving tests and treatments for breast cancer warriors. The annual charity race event is back on the radar after suffering an unexpected two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic and this year the run/walk is aiming to raise five million dollars to aid in the fight against breast cancer.
Globally, October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Jamaicans are encouraged to support breast cancer survivors by making a donation to the Pink Run initiative or by registering to run/walk.
