The government through the Forestry Department has set a target to have three million trees planted in an effort to replenish fruit and shade trees across the island. The emphasis for this year’s Labour Day is also tree planting. Jamaica Zoo has designated a special area for its patrons and visitors to plant a tree of their choice as their contribution to this initiative to reduce global warming and fight the effects of climate change.
