Conveniently these scrumptious treats can be made within the confines of your home. Some popular Jamaican treats include gizzada, coconut drops, and tarts ( plantain, pineapple). Chef Miguel Powell demonstrates the process of making his mouthwatering pineapple tart and gizzada on Sunrise.
Chef Powell hails from the cool parish of Manchester. He is an entrepreneur, and founder of the brand “Mig Pic’s Gizzy Real Jamaican Brand” ( authentic Jamaican Gizzadas and pastries) and Mig Pic’s Kitchen. He is also a personal chef to two business owners including the CEO of the Pickapeppa group. His culinary journey began in high school while attending the prestigious institution Decarteret College in the cool hills of Mandeville, Manchester.
Before graduating, his first products were coconut drops, and grater cakes and the best and most popular was Gizzadas which built his repertoire on his culinary journey, as a young entrepreneur.
